Finalists Announced for Essex Digital Awards 2014

The standard of entries for the first ever Essex Digital Awards has been described as “highly impressive” by judges who have now chosen their finalists.

The five contenders for each of the categories are now in with a chance of clinching either of the gold, silver and bronze prizes at the inaugural ceremony on April 24, 2014.

The EDAs, which is being supported by the Essex Chronicle and our Associate Sponsor Freelance SEO Essex is the first and only awards scheme within the county to celebrate the online achievements of businesses, schools and charities.

Joe Davis, one of the panel of independent judges scoring the entries, who works for Billericay firm Total Digital, revealed that he was “very excited” by the broad range of organisations who had submitted entries.

“There has been a real cross-section of companies, schools and charities taking part and this is great for the integrity of the scheme,” he remarked. “Overall I would say the standard was very impressive and this bodes well for the final stage of the EDAs and for the future of the competition. There will be some very worthy winners out there who deserve the recognition that winning an EDA is going to bring them.”

The EDAs – which has a range of supporters including Capricorn Media Group, PrintXChange and Venture Banners – will host a Presentation Evening at the Ivory Rooms in Billericay.

It is anticipated that demand for tickets will be very high and space is limited. Therefore, tickets will go on sale on two phases.
