Entry for the Essex Digital Awards is now officially open.
Following the “staggeringly high demand” for last year’s competition, entry for the EDAs 2015 has been brought forward by one month to September 2, 2014.
The news follows a recent announcement that the EDAs 2015 will be supported by a range of Essex businesses including headline sponsor Lookers Volvo Colchester, Auxiliary Global, Ding Video and their media partner the Essex Chronicle.
Andy Pritchard, of Premio64, the organisers behind the EDAs, revealed that he is expecting an even more impressive number of entries this time around.
“Last year showed us there is a staggeringly high demand for the EDAs.
“We received such a large number of entries, many of a very high quality, but judging by the chat on Twitter and feedback we’ve received directly, we expect even more this year.
“The competition is open to all businesses, schools and charities across Essex and we hope to see as many entering as possible.”
The competition is free to enter and there are ten categories to consider including ‘Online Business’, ‘Use of Social Media for Business’, ‘Mobile App’ and ‘Online Marketing Campaign’, as well as a brand new category for the ‘Blog’.
Other categories for consideration include ‘Use of Video for Business’, ‘School/Education/Charity Website’, ‘Small Business Website’, ‘Responsive Website’ and the flagship ‘Website’.
Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be presented during the Winners’ Evening, which will be held at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, Colchester on April 23 next year.
Last year’s event at The Ivory Rooms in Billericay sold out within 11 hours of going on general sale.
The EDAs is the first and only scheme to recognize the online achievements of businesses, schools and charities across the county and it takes less than two minutes to apply via www.essexdigitalawards.co.uk
