An agreement has been reached with the Essex Chronicle to extend the EDAs entry deadline until March 7.
Following the incredible response and huge number of entries submitted to first ever Essex Digital Awards, we have agreed with the award-winning media group to extend the deadline by just over one week, to allow for more businesses, schools and charities to take part.
The announcement (on February 26) will be greeted with excitement by many organisations from across the county, who may not yet have completed their application.
Iain Johnson, from Premio64, the organisation behind the awards said: “We received a request from the Essex Chronicle to extend the deadline to allow for their readers, who are involved in businesses, schools and charities which operate online, to make an entry should they wish to.
“We are very happy to comply because it’s the first year of the scheme and it’s right to allow everyone a fair chance to discover the EDAs bearing in mind the significant recognition that winning one of these awards is going to offer.
“But this is it, the deadline will not be extended again for the 2014 competition.
“It is also very important for me to confirm that the deadline has been extended for all organisations around the county, you all now have until 23.59 March 7 to submit your entries. Good luck.”
The Essex Digital Awards is free to enter and takes less than two minutes to complete.
